We need to grow our membership in 2012. Membership in an organization is the “Life Blood” of that organization, and TelCo Retirees Association needs to grow in order to survive.
We started recruiting members in September of 2003. In two years we grew to over 2,000 paid members, due to the tremendous efforts of a small nucleus of dedicated people. Now, we need your help more than ever to show strength in numbers and to send a message to our former employer from the people that built the business.
We are a unique organization, our members are seniors and the attrition rate is higher than most associations. Through the NLRN we will continue to protect and enhance our medical and pension benefits.
It is important that we continue to recruit new members through personal contacts, retiree groups, former associates, etc., the best kind of advertising is “word of mouth”, and the current members are our best “salespeople”.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BECOME A MEMBER
- Any management or non-management retiree from Pacific Telephone, Pacific Telesis, Pacific Bell, Nevada Bell, SBC, and AT&T.
- Any Bell System retiree who would like to affiliate with TelCo.
- Non-retired active employees who want to join before retiring.
There are approximately 50,000 qualified Bell System retirees that are eligible to be members of our association. A “Membership Application” can be easily downloaded from this website. Please feel free to contact us about membership in the TelCo Retirees Association.
