Report: AT&T is Top Ethernet Provider Worldwide

AT&T is the top Ethernet provider worldwide, according to Vertical Systems Group’s Mid-Year 2018 Global Provider Ethernet Leaderboard. It’s the first U.S. company to hold the top global position.

The carrier is followed by Colt (U.K), CenturyLink (U.S.), Orange Business (France), BT Global Services (U.K.), Verizon (U.S.) and NTT (Japan). The Leaderboard is comprised of carriers who hold at least a 4% share of billable retail ports outsider their home countries.

White House retirement security announcement expected Friday

President Donald Trump is scheduled to sign an executive order on retirement security Friday in Charlotte, N.C.

The White House said Mr. Trump will speak around 2 p.m. at Central Piedmont Community College and sign an executive order “strengthening retirement security in America,” and expanding access to workplace retirement savings plans.




AT&T’s global headquarters sells to high-profile investors

The landmark tower and plaza that houses AT&T Inc.’s global headquarters in downtown Dallas has been purchased by Dundon Capital Partners and Woods Capital.

The two Dallas-based investment firms bought the 37-story, 965,800 square-foot building from Icahn Enterprises for an undisclosed price. The property was expected to sell for upwards of $250 million.
